I have met BMT Afloat repair company representatives to discuss steel project for one of our vessel required afloat repair with 14 MT steel renewals in very short notice. They had only 9 days before vessel arrival at assigned port to book the repair berth, arrange the required steel materials, prepare all documents for class approval.
Class surveyor and H&M representatives were fully satisfied from production and quality of the job. Another very important point was that repair schedule was followed very strictly and vessel departed as we agreed initially despite bad weather, heavy rain and other unpredicted circumstances. Workers at BMT are very skilled and with huge ship repair experience.
V.Ships Hamburg
We had the American Flagged heavy lift ship Ocean Giant in Tarragona, Spain for a repair period. We hired BMT to come in and repair and renew grating foundations all over the main deck. They were very efficient and were making great progress in just a few days, so we ended up giving them more work throughout the ship. Some of the projects were needle gunning, painting and insulating two of the fan rooms for the engine space. We had them replace railings all over the ship. We also had them install a new air conditioning unit in the galley.
He checked in with me a couple times per day as to where we were on each project and what the cost outlook was.
If we are in Spain in the near future, we are certainly going to be looking for help from BMT. We found them to be a very professional and well-run maintenance crew.
